SUMMARY:
Financial Wellbeing Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To fulfil on the Retail and Institutional Customer Value Proposition by, inter alia, assisting with financial wellbeing days, wellness days, member education seminars, campaigns, themed campaigns and initiatives, work-site marketing and consulting as well as fund specific workshops and financial wellness. 


Where necessary, to support and assist the Financial Planning Consultants to provide holistic financial planning advice to corporate funds members, by identifying their investment and lifestyle needs and objectives and to identify new business opportunities within existing and potential client bases. To help develop and implement strategies and manage relationships with key personnel within assigned and segmented Corporate accounts.


Education and Experience
  • Matric 

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP license  or studying towards it)

  • Tertiary qualification i.e. BCom (majors in Financial Management or Financial Planning or Investments or Marketing)

Knowledge and skills
  • Good understanding of the tax implications in holistic financial planning;

  • Good understanding of features and appropriateness of various products: Preservation Funds, Retirement Annuities, Annuities, Endowments, Life and Disability Assurance Policies, Unit Trusts, Trusts.

  • Good understanding of the Financial Services industry – including service providers and the retail market;

  • Good understanding of legislation and regulations governing investment markets (local and Offshore)

  • Good understanding of the Financial Services industry – including service providers and the retail market;

  • Good understanding of legislation and regulations governing investment markets (local and Offshore)

Competencies
  • Manage relationship with Financial Planning Consultant team, Corporate Funds and Members, clients & service providers (internal and external;

  • Ability to manage pressure;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in required language;

  • Effective presentation skills;

  • Strong client service orientation;

  • Have attention to detail within a regulatory and compliance environment;

  • Good organizational skills;

  • Effective time management skills
