Fire and Rescue Officer - Chloorkop / Kempton Park

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Chemical Manufacturing Environment is urgently looking for a Fire and Rescue Officer (Paramedic / Firefighter) to respond to a wide variety of emergency situations on site and in some circumstances off site.

VERY IMPORTANT : The candidate must stay within a 10km radius from Choorkop / Kempton Park

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience as a Paramedic / Firefighter
• At least 3 years' experience in a Chemical Manufacturing Environment
• Ambulance emergency assistance - Registered with HPCSA
• Certificate in Fire Technology
• Fire Fighter 1 and 2
• Hazmat Awareness and Operational
• Confined Space Rescue experience
• Self-contained breathing apparatus
• Pump Driver / Operator
• C1 category driving license or higher (EC-1, C or EC)
• Risk assessment knowledge
• Relevant legislation and regulations (OHSAct and regulations) knowledge
• Local Municipality by laws knowledge
• All relevant SANS-Standard (Firefighting and emergency response related) knowledge
• Fire prevention, education or inspection experience
