My client a leading and well known company requires a Mate / Qualified Fisherman Gr 3 (SAMSA Ticket) to work on sea and alongside.
Requirements:
Qualified Grade 3 Fisherman/Mate - SAMSA Ticket
Appropriate Seagoing experience
Must be Criminal Clear
SA Citizens only
Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area or West Coast
Duties:
Reporting to the Skipper the successful candidate will be responsible for activities on board a fishing trawler involving the following:
Safety of the vessel and crew
Safety of Navigation
Legislative Requirements
Housekeeping/Hygiene/Quality
Cost Control
Fishing Gear Operations and Targets
Communications
HR Functions and supervision of sub-ordinates
Transfer of Skills
