JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description:

Must have a matric certificate or NTC 3 qualification
Trade test certificate in the trade of Fitter & Turner
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ post apprentice experience in a production environment
Knowledge of the Sawmill and Forestry industry would be an added advantage
Knowledge of Hydraulics & Pnuematics, boiler & steam application
Knowledge of variable speed gearboxes, overhead cranes, PLC`s and electronics

Person Requirements:

High level of commitment to accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
Good and effective communication at all levels.
High level of integrity.
Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
Time Management skills and meeting of strict deadlines
Must have a high safety orientation
Must be accountable & innovative
Must be prepared to work overtime from time to time.
Must be prepared to do standby duties
Must be self-motivated and confident
