Fitter

Our client in  Worcester is in need of a Fitter to join their team.

Duties:

Operate biogas/waste-water plant by:

• • Monitoring SCADA system and optimizing process by adjusting set-points.
  • Do basic, periodic lab tests on effluent.
  • Capture performance/production data on MS Excel and periodically communicate this info to management.
  • Conduct site walks and observe whether equipment is performing optimally.
• Fitter duties:
  • Attend to all mechanical breakdowns:
    • Stripping pumps, identifying problems, and replacing necessary parts (impellers, sleeves, mechanical seals, bearings, pins, bushes etc.)
    • Repairing cracked welding (Must be proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding)
• Building/installing support structures for pipes.
• Installing/welding new pipe sections (Stainless steel and mild steel.)
• Installing/repairing conveyor chains, and maintenance of accompanying bearings etc.
• Installing of/ Fault finding on gearboxes.
• Installing/Maintenance on pneumatic control valves/ shut-off valves.
• Proficiency with general workshop tools/powertools.
