JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Responsibilities 

  • To work within the guidelines of the company’s EHS & quality systems.
  • Support and assist with the production of and continuous development of activities undertaken with Mechanical Service.
  • Supporting the execution of service to achieve KPIs, strategic and business objectives.
  • Undertake technical training courses and qualifications as required with the aim of continued personal development.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode Effects Analysis processes into site occurrences and incidents as required.
  • Adhering to and ensuring QHSE compliance for all service engineering activities.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment and apparatus are maintained in line with best practice and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Support other areas of the business as and when required’
  • Utilise precision equipment, such as callipers, verniers, and micrometers.
  • Interpret complex drawings, sketches and perform layout work.
  • Work and operate cutting equipment, welding machinery and measuring tools.
  • Produce work and document following established procedures.
  • Perform fitting of structural components using tools and required methods for the assembly.
  • Perform work following all safety procedures and policies. Maintain a clean orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as necessary. Enforce and practice company work instructions and any quality control system programs that are implemented by the company. Inspect repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains all mechanical components, assemblies on turbines and associated packages.
  • Works with quality control on quality of product and specific problems.
  • Reads and interprets drawings and schematics.
  • Assist the workshop in any mechanical and electrical assembly as needed.
  • Maintain and obey safety standards.
  • Work and communicate with Engineering, QC, Material Control and other crafts in production.
  • Maintain hand tools and machinery required for production.
  • Assist doing alignments and parts Installation.
  • Work rotating Shifts when required
  • Perform standby duties

Minimum requirements:

  • Trade Tested Fitter and Turner
  • Minimum 5 years post trade test experience in a maintenance environment
  • Experience in welding and cutting tools and processes
