Qualifications / Requirements:

• Matric
• Relevant qualifications in a similar field
• Valid code 14 driving license
• Minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally in the logistics / transport industry
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Administrative skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Computer Literate
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Key Performance Areas:

• Asset management: ensure all fleet assets are effectively and efficiently maintained
• Develop, implement, and manage a routine / scheduled maintenance register to track all the required services
• Effectively manage all breakdowns, to ensure minimal down time of assets
• Maintain detailed records for all fleet maintenance and breakdowns
• Ensure SHEQ compliance of all facilities
• Conduct regular safety inspections of all vehicles to ensure that they are in working order.
• Staff management: Ensure staff are fully briefed on what is expected of them (Drivers, Fleet Controllers)
• Management of staff (Drivers and Fleet Controllers) leave, sick and AWOL and ensure company policies and procedure are always adhered to Supplier management: ensure that suppliers meet their required deliverables and are held accountable accordingly
