SUMMARY:
A well-known and established Label Manufacturer requires the above to be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of all printing machines on the factory floor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

A recognised Flexo Trade Certificate or a Flexo RPL certificate is preferred.
TT1, TT2 & TT3 certification is preferred.
Must have basic mechanical skills and be able to work under pressure.
Previous experience having worked as a flexographic or related printer operating and overseeing flexo printing machines within a manufacturing environment is essential for the role.
Must have good communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Assisting the Operations Manager on the factory floor with the starting up and running of various flexographic machines from plain to full colour work as well as overseeing staff.
Problem-solving print problems or print variations.
Recording production related information accurately, clearly and promptly.
Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
Identifying and reporting technical problems and deviations on the machine promptly.
Ensuring that the quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
Reading and understanding the production plan.
Preparing for job changes and following wash up procedures.
Setting up job changes efficiently and effectively at all times within the timeframe structure.
Minimising waste, maximising output and maintaining quality.
