Job Description
Kauai, a leading health food restaurant, is seeking a Food Prep Kitchen Crew member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various food preparation tasks in our kitchen and Juice Bar environment.
Job Duties:
- Prepare food items according to recipes and instructions
- Operate juice bar equipment for preparing healthy beverages
- Make coffee following specified procedures
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Matric qualification
- Relevant experience in food preparation
Knowledge and Skills:
- Food preparation techniques
- Juice bar preparation
- Basic maths skills for recipe measurements
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal culinary training or certification
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a busy restaurant environment where you will be required to stand for extended periods and work with various kitchen equipment and tools. The position involves weekend shifts.
