SUMMARY:
Our client, based in Gqeberha, seeks to employ an experienced Foreman to join their Fettling Department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

To ensure that employees are trained and competent (according to operational procedures, current quality and safety requirements)
To reduce and maintain budgeted costs in Department
To maintain standard of equipment being used
To ensure that QOS, Audits and CAR’s are updated and maintained
To direct technical/mechanical operations and ensure that Fettling department is run efficiently
Ensure strict control of all materials
Ensure adequate manning for work required and control of overtime
Ensure proper scrap and process control
Monitor and report on scrap levels
Continuous improvement projects
Customer release to be achieved
Monitor, assess and improve quality levels
Daily output, rework and scrap control
