Foundry Supervisor

SUMMARY:
New vacancy is available for a Foundry Supervisor for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in Port Elizabeth.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will lead and supervise the Casting, X-Ray, and Heat Treatment teams, to achieve the Foundry’s Goals.

KPI's

• Ensure that output, scrap, rework and housekeeping targets are met at all times
• Carry out quality audits and ensure that products are within specification
• Update your team on performance against targets
• Ensure employees work according to Work Instruction
• Communicate problems with other departmental leaders
• Develop employee training plan and update training records according to company’s Training Plan
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
• Manage all internal performance monitoring systems ( OEE, SCADA )
• Drive plant First Time Pass Rate improvements in Foundry.

• Trade Certificate in Tool, Jig, and Die Making or relevant qualification would be preferred.
• A tertiary qualification in the Quality / Production field will be an advantage
• Successfully completion of Supervision Programme.

• At least 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 5 years as a Supervisor/Technician/Team Leader (foundry experience essential)
• Should have thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Thorough knowledge of quality standards and requirements
• Thorough knowledge of all foundry processes is essential

• Excellent attendance and impeccable disciplinary records
• Strong Communication and Leadership skills
• Computer literacy essential
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Valid SA driver's license will have an added advantage
