SUMMARY:
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Front Desk Attendant at a luxury game lodge in Sabi Sands, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Guest Services:

• Welcoming guests warmly upon arrival and providing a personalized check-in and check-out experience.
• Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Offering concierge services, including activity bookings, spa reservations, and transfers.
• Ensuring guests are informed about lodge activities, meal times, and safety procedures.
• Assisting with special requests, such as honeymoon arrangements and special celebrations.

• Managing reservations, cancellations, and modifications through the lodge’s booking system.
• Coordinating with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared for guests.
• Handling billing, payments, and invoicing accurately.
• Maintaining guest records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of information.
• Preparing daily reports for management on arrivals, departures, and guest feedback.

• Liaising with other departments (kitchen, housekeeping, guides) to ensure smooth operations.
• Relaying messages between guests and management when necessary.
• Assisting with lodge retail sales and inventory management for the gift shop (if applicable).

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications & Skills Required

• Education: A hospitality diploma or relevant qualification is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in front office operations at a luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or 5-star establishment.
• Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in Opera, ResRequest, Semper, or similar lodge reservation systems.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages such as Afrikaans, German, or French are an advantage).
• Customer Service: Strong guest relations skills with a passion for delivering high-end hospitality experiences.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest concerns effectively and professionally.
• Presentation: Well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor.
• Flexibility: Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays as per lodge requirements.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with different lodge departments.
• Driving License: A valid driver’s license may be beneficial for remote locations.
