A growing consultancy/digital agency, who also develop their own in-house products, have an exciting opportunity for a Front End Developer to join their team. They are experiencing a period of growth; their existing clients are keeping them busy and there's also new clients and projects kicking off!

What will I be doing?

As mentioned, the company are looking for an experienced Front End Developer.
You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and you'll be involved in the full design and development process from idea to delivery. The team are a very tight-knit bunch, so you'll work closely with the Designers and will be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table.
The company work with several clients which will allow you to work with and gain insights into many different sectors which keeps the role exciting!
Who am I?
The company are looking for a Developer that has commercial experience in a Front End role. If you've got experience working in an agency/consultancy then this could be the perfect role for you - not to worry if you haven't, they're keen to see people from all different backgrounds!
Ideally, you will be skilled in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript and React. As React & TypeScript are their main technologies they use for the Front End, you should have commercial experience with this. You'll be working on bespoke products for a range of clients (who may have different technology stacks) so you should be flexible and up for learning new things. Some of the other tech that they work with but is not limited to is React Native, Node.js, C#, MVC .Net and Net Core. It would be really helpful if you have knowledge of any back end technology but this is not essential.
The role involves working closely with clients and so it is important that you have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Who will I be working with?
As mentioned, you'll work very closely with everyone else in the team, especially the Designers and Software Developers in the team. Everyone is happy to bounce ideas off each other and really get stuck into each project that they have. There won't be any shying away in this role due to the size of the team so you should be someone that likes to put their ideas and opinions forward!
The company's senior team are very experienced too and are great to work under. They're very flexible and there's no micro-management. It's up to you to manage your time.
What are the benefits and where will I be based?
The company have offices in Edinburgh City Centre and the team are currently go into the office 3 or 4 times per week. If you're not based Edinburgh but are really keen on the role, they are happy to consider remote working but there would be an expectation to visit every now and then.
The salary on offer is up to £40,000 (+ 10% annual bonus) but they could potentially go to £45,000 for the perfect candidate. They also offer "10% time" meaning that you can spend a portion of your working week on side projects, upskilling or training in new technologies.
