SUMMARY:
Our client is provides services related to the import and export of packaged frozen products and cold storage.
They are focused on providing specialized cold store services to our customers and the export of South Africa’s highly sought after squid.

POSITION INFO:
Role:  Frozen Food Trader 
Location: Port Elizabeth
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience


Specialist: Excellent knowledge of the frozen foods market. Specific key products that will be traded are chicken, fish, and value added frozen products

Qualifications

• Excellent salesmanship and ability to close a deal
• In-depth knowledge of the frozen food industry
• Understanding of nutrition and the basic benefits or dangers of specific foods
• Available to travel when necessary and work nights or weekends if needed
• Exceptional mathematics skills needed to perform calculations and give estimates
• Capable of working independently or with a group of other Food Sales Representatives
• Thorough in all account paperwork and recordkeeping

• Proven experience trading in the frozen food industry.
• Excellent time keeper able to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
• Be customer focused and service oriented.
• Be strongly self-motivated, able to develop business opportunities.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be flexible and available at all times.
• Self-starter an ability to work on own initiative.

• Develop business opportunities in the market.
• Buying products on the market at a low price and selling it at a higher price.
• Identifying gaps in the market and capitalising on them.
• To work closely with the trading team developing existing markets and also running their own markets and clients.
