SUMMARY:
We require a junior Fruit Trader. You will support global fruit trade operations, including logistics and relationship management, requiring strong negotiation skills and a passion for fresh produce industry.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain or related
- At least 1 year experience trading fresh produce, or in exports
- Knowledge of INCO terms and export documentation
Duties and Responsibilities:Trading & Sales:- Assist in sourcing and selling fresh fruit to international markets.
- Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and trends in the global fruit trade.
- Prepare and negotiate offers, contracts, and pricing structures with guidance from senior traders.
- Ensure efficient order processing, from sales confirmation to delivery.
Logistics & Operations:- Coordinate export documentation, shipping schedules, and quality control procedures.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, cold storage facilities, and other logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing supply chain efficiency.
Regulatory & Compliance:- Ensure all transactions comply with international trade laws, phytosanitary requirements, and export regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, shipments, and compliance documentation.
Fi
nancial & Administration:- Assist in managing costs, payment terms, and credit control with customers and suppliers.
- Monitor currency exchange rates and their impact on pricing and profitability.
- Support in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
