SUMMARY:

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Trails Guide to lead guided walking safaris and nature trails. The ideal candidate must have a deep knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation, along with exceptional tracking skills and the ability to create an immersive experience for guests. This role requires excellent communication, leadership, and situational awareness to ensure guest safety and enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead guided walking safaris, ensuring an informative, safe, and engaging experience
Educate guests on local flora, fauna, and conservation efforts
Track and interpret wildlife behavior and signs for an authentic bush experience
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and emergency procedures
Maintain and carry necessary equipment such as firearms, first aid kits, and communication devices
Work closely with lodge staff, rangers, and conservationists to provide seamless experiences
Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality to guests

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

FGASA Full Trails Guide Qualification
Valid First Aid Certification
ARH (Advanced Rifle Handling) qualification
PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is preferred
Excellent bushcraft and tracking skills
Strong knowledge of wildlife, conservation, and ecosystems
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
Excellent communication and storytelling skills
Physically fit and comfortable in remote outdoor environments
