GENERAL PRACTITIONER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible to assist with the following

• Ward rounds on week days & alternate weekends as per arrangement.
• Theater equipment set up, patient positioning, assisting with major cases, performing minor cases as taught
• Outpatient clinic - patient selection and appropriate referrals
• Review of transcribed and typed letters
• Arrange investigations or referrals, operations and follow ups
• Practice administration & IT support to office staff

SKILLS

• Strong attention to detail in the practice environment
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and third party funders
• The ability to multitask
• Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical open working environment
• Comfortable in paperless, computer environment

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience

COMPLIANCE, SECURITY REGULATIONS

• Act independently with confidentiality and within restraint of trade obligations
