SUMMARY:
Verulam - A well established and busy clothing supplier is seeking an experienced Garment Pattern Maker to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the design team to produce accurate, high-quality patterns for a wide range of garments.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop patterns from design specifications for production, ensuring a clear understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and design elements.
• Create and grade patterns using board or computer software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, or similar).
• Ensure that patterns are optimized for production processes, minimizing waste while maintaining quality.
• Work with the sample team to ensure accurate prototypes and resolve any fitting or construction issues.
• Modify and adapt patterns based on feedback or sample production requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, production managers, and other team members to meet deadlines and production needs.
• Maintain pattern accuracy, organization, and efficiency, ensuring patterns are correctly archived and updated as necessary.
• Stay current with industry trends and techniques to bring innovative approaches to pattern making.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Garment Pattern Maker, working with board or PC patterns.
• Proficiency in pattern-making software (Gerber, Lectra, or similar).
• Formal education in fashion design or pattern making (e.g., diploma or degree).
• Experience with digital pattern grading and 3D garment visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric characteristics.
• Ability to create patterns for a variety of garment types, including casual wear, formal wear, and activewear.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and solve pattern-related issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with design and production teams.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
