General Maintenance Worker

SUMMARY:
Our client in the supply chain and logistics industry is looking to employ 3 General Maintenance Workers at their organization

POSITION INFO:
Location: Phillipi, Cape Town

Requirements:

• Matric
• Must be competent in English and at least 1 other official National language.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Must have basic operational skills – welding, plumbing, electrical, hand tools, painting, carpentry, etc.
• Previous forklift operations will be advantageous.
• Previous Ammonia Plant and Diesel Generator operations will be advantageous.
• Valid licence for different type of MHE on site.
• Able to read and write and complete daily check sheets.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Must be willing to work long hour shifts

• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Maintain a clean & safe environment
• Assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
