General Manager - Paarden Eiland – R37,500 per month CTC
(Helpdesk environment, Property/Facilities Management)
JOB OVERVIEW
An exciting new opportunity has been created for a General Manager with strong commercial experience, management, and leadership experience to join our client based In Paarden Eiland.
The role has a high level of integration and you will need to partner with the Leadership Team to deploy learning, process and best practice methodologies to bring to life the elements of their business and drive the strategic business agenda within the company.
Your role will encompass all aspects of the business which will Include Business Development, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Management and Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Overview:
- You will be responsible for the development and through-the-line integration of the helpdesk.
- You will be responsible for developing and enabling effective and robust customer trading strategies while building commercial sales planning capability
- Develop a sales and marketing strategy and plan in alignment with company objectives.
- Develop the company commercially, identifying opportunities, evaluating feasibility, and recommending new products and services for future growth based on client/market needs.
- You will continue to develop "the company" in South Africa to ensure they bring the best service to their clients and be their preferred strategic partner.
- Ensure alignment between business growth expectations and the business operation strategy, evaluating internal resources and investment needs in infrastructure, technology, and people.
- Lead the management team to improve continuously Career Development and Learning and Development planning for all staff
Business Development:
- Develop new support service offerings in the fields of Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- Develop a marketing function which supports the founding members businesses. The marketing function shall not be outsourced but a service offering Internally within the group structure.
- Strategize and present credible growth plans presented quarterly to the board of directors. Show proposed and actual business development plans working with the leadership team on focal areas.
- Develop and create new opportunities proposing facility management work In the African market.
Human Resources:
- Discipline staff when required ensuring HR best practice Is adhered to at all times.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure staff sustainability, good governance and best practice.
- Ensure the business Is POPI compliant as well as any other privacy legislation requirements for markets worked In.
- Ensure annual Skills submission and all other legislative requirements are completed annually.
- Provide systems and procedures for sustainable disciplinary processes ensuring they are always compliant and within the rule of law.
Finance:
- Liaise and manage outsourced finance contractors ensuring compliance and financial management Is on time and in full.
- Manage the outsourced payroll company to ensure all salaries are paid on time and In full.
- Ensure stable financial management escalating risks and areas of concern to the board of directors.
Operations Management:
- Ensure clear office management principles are adhered to within IT structures and physical office management.
- Mitigate any foreseeable operations risks ensuring that IT Infrastructure, Support Systems and VOIP lines are online at all times.
Key Performance Indicators
- Management accounts prepared and ready by the latest the 2nd week after month end.
- Ensure AFS Is ready and submitted to the leadership team on time and in full post financial year end.
- Fulfill and meet all contracts KPIs ensuring risk mitigation procedures are put in place should they fall outside of contract terms.
- Annual company growth of 25% or greater revenue
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of Bachelor''s degree required - In relevant field
- Team, sales and project leadership experience with emphasis on leading strategic organizational change within a helpdesk environment.
- Ideal experience would be in the property or facilities management Industry.
- Financial analysis background optional - you will need to have a good understanding of P&L and know how to influence it through understanding of sales
- Strong analytical skills to support the team deliver added value and actionable insights
- Demonstrable evidence of delivering successful and profitable outcomes through strategic ability to develop effective business plans
Position Details
- Reporting directly to the board of directors
- Cost to Company Salary R37 500 pm
- Annual leave 21 days per year (Pro rate per hours worked)
- 50% of your monthly business hours are allocated to work at the office In Paarden Eiland.
