Glass and Aluminium company in the Overstrand is looking for a competent and experienced Glass Cutter. To establish and monitor work standards the company will offer a month-to-month contract to start with. Should work be up to standard and of high quality the possibility of a permanent position will be discussed.
The Fitter will be required to work from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and Saturdays when required or for emergencies. Work will mainly be in the Rooi Els, Pringle Bay, Betties Bay and Kleinmond areas and it is therefore imperative that the Glass cutter have a valid driver’s license and be a good and responsible driver.
We are seeking a well-spoken, competent and hard-working individual who will be able to work well with a team and independently with little supervision. Someone that can be given a task and complete it in the time provided.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Glass Cutter
- Experience working with Glass and Aluminium
- Well spoken; must be fluent in Afrikaans, fluency in English would be an added advantage
- Applicants should have a solid track record and good references
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Good understanding of construction, equipment and Occupation Safety and Health Act (ASH) guidelines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Quick thinker and solution driven
- Problem-solving abilities
- Can do attitude
Salary negotiable depending on level of experience
