Graduate Application Support Engineer required to join an expanding logistics solutions company based in Glasgow.
They are a family founded company who have successfully become one of the largest logistics companies within the UK. Regardless of the success they still keep the family feel culture throughout their teams and are heavily invested in training and encouraging their employees to progress within their career through the company.
You will be providing support for a range of logistic systems, producing reports for customers and end-users, documenting any system changes adhering to company standards and developing and maintaining UNIX Shell scripts. You will be involved in big projects such as upgrading and implementing the logistic systems, developing integration processes between internal and external systems, and migrating solutions from test environment to production environment.
You will have the following skills/experience: -
** Bachelor's degree in a technical subject; engineering or computer science
** Experience with relation databases such as SQL or Oracle
** Strong written and verbal communication
** Knowledge of Shell Scripting
** Full UK Licence and own transport is essential
The salary on offer is circa £25K, and due to the nature of the position you will be based in the office on site.
