Graphic Designer

Requirements:

• 3 years experience in a creative agency setting.
• Technical and drawing skills.
• Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair.
• A flexible approach when working in a team.
• Excellent communication skills to interpret briefs.
• Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues.
• Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once.
• Accuracy and attention to detail when finalizing designs.
• Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Works and collaborates with Account Managers, Copywriters, photographers and other Designers.
• Estimating the time required to complete a job.
• Developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose.
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design.
• Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers.
• Working with a range of media including Adobe Suite and keeping up to date with emerging technologies.
• Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print.
• Briefing illustrators and photographers when a design includes photography or illustration elements.
• Works with printers to get quotes, to choose suitable materials for printing, to send them artwork, approve printer proofs and liaise with them to make sure everything is the right quality, amount, and is done within the agreed timeline.
• Adheres to a client’s brand identity and guidelines.
• Makes sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to press and production facilities.
• Prepares mock-ups and presenting to clients before deciding on a final design/concept.
• Edits proofs to client’s specifications and getting signoff/approval before finalizing artwork.
• Communicates with line manager and traffic controller about progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
• Works with external departments to extend concept and visuals to other internal and external marketing-related material.
• Adapts and rolls out approved concepts to various media, above and below the line.
• Conceptualize ideas and complete work within budget and on deadline.
