SUMMARY:
Calling all ex-Garden Service owners/Supervisors and Groundsman
POSITION INFO:
My lient, a leading and well known Retirement Centre based in Bellville requires an experienced Groundsman to join their team.
This position is reporting to the Garden and Maintenance Manager
It will ideally suit a mature Afrikaans speaking gentleman with experience in Gardening Services combined with Handyman skills.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SALARY ON OFFER IS R9000 PM PLUS ACCOMODATION ON THE PREMISES.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Essential
- Experience in managing a team of gardeners ESSENTIAL
- Proficiency in at least English & Afrikaans ESSENTIAL
- Ability to impart knowledge & show initiative
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lead by example & solve problems promptly & efficiently
- Ability to manage, organize, plan & communicate well
- Strong, healthy interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage the staff
- Needs to be quite practical and hands on.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Valid code 08 driver’s license. (Public drivers permit to be obtained)
- Own reliable transport.
- Willingness to be on standby over weekends and nights.
