POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Group Chief Executive Officer to drive business growth and expansion across key markets in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing overall company operations, financial performance, and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the company’s vision, strategy, and business expansion plans.
• Drive revenue growth and ensure sustainable profitability.
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, working capital, and fundraising.
• Provide leadership to a diverse team of over 200 employees.
• Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
• Manage large-scale operations with a turnover of $25M+.
• Ensure operational excellence and efficient resource allocation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners and investors.
• Lead engagement with smallholder farmers to support distribution and supply chain activities.

Key Skills

• Strong leadership and strategic decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience in business growth and expansion.
• Financial acumen, including cash flow and fund management.
• Sales and marketing expertise within the agricultural sector.
• Ability to manage large and diverse teams across multiple regions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Experience in the seed industry with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management position.
• Background in agricultural businesses, particularly those interacting with smallholder farmers.
• Experience in East African markets is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of senior management experience in Africa, with at least 5 years in a CEO or MD role.
