Group Coordinator

An exciting career opportunity is available at one of the premier golf & leisure resorts in the country for an experienced and motivated Group Coordinator.
 
We consider the following as essential: 
 Qualifications & Experience:        

• Grade 12 or equivalent,
• Knowledge of MS Office suite and at least 1 years work experience in reservations, customer sales or banqueting & events coordinating is a prerequisite,
• A valid driver’s license will be required,
• Work experience on any booking and point-of-sales system, would be advantageous. 

Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):            

• Making and processing group reservations and events by email and telephone,
• Following up on tentative bookings and all deposits which are due and ensuring that these are processed,
• Coordinate site inspections for groups travelling/requested with the various managers required (Conferences, functions),
• Coordinating pre-conference meetings to ensure correct handover to the operations team,
• Pro-actively market and introduce available packages and new services,
• Overseeing the entire event planning and handling any day to day queries and complaints,
• Promote all activities available on the Resort.

Adverse working conditions:      

• Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays,
• Must be prepared to work shifts.
