SUMMARY:

Our client, a market leader in the manufacturing arena, seeks your expert costing knowledge to join their Finance department. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:
  • Degree in Finance.
  • CIMA qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience post degree.
  • Experience managing a team essential.
  • Costing experience essential.
  • Experience in navigating Microsoft (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • JDE experience an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Provide proactive, continuous review of costing system to ensure best accounting practice and efficient business operations.
  • Oversee a strong team and provide leadership and training where necessary.
  • Provide guidance and input where necessary to the Plant and Finance Managers.
Custodian of Bills of Materials:
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data across the Group by performing ongoing review and updates of BOM's.
Manufacturing Accounts at Month-End:
  • Ensure the team complies with all corporate deadlines.
  • Review and analyse commentary for all manufacturing accounts for all division before submitting to the    Group Financial Manager.
  • Review month-end Labour journals for these divisions.
Budgets:
  • Prepare divisional standard cost roll-up for the Group.
  • Update Raw Materials/Internal Labour/Outworker charges.
Stock Control:
  • Ensure that the stock conduct and processes are followed accordingly.
  • Oversee quarterly full stock counts for all divisions.
  • Perform cycle counts on items of concern raised.
  • Investigate and report on variances.
  • Process inventory adjustments.
