POSITION INFO:

My client who operates in the fruit processing industry is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to support the group with management accounts, taxation, treasury, external and internal audit processes. This role reports into the Group Financial Manager and the suitable candidate will ensure the reliability of financial information and reporting used within the Group for optimal decision-making. This person would sit in the Paarl office. 

Responsibilities:

• Management Accounts: Ensure accurate financial information for monthly management accounts. Review recurring and non-recurring general ledger journals processed by the Group Financial Manager. Manage the accuracy, completeness and validity of the fixed asset register. Monitor and maintain the capital expenditure reconciliation and records
• Taxation: Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of taxation requirements. Calculate and reconcile the monthly EMP201 and monthly VAT201 for all Group companies. Complete annual corporate income tax return for all Group companies based on the audited corporate income tax calculation. Reconcile and submit the bi-annual EMP501 for all Group companies
• Treasury: Ensure adequate cashflow for the Group through overseeing the weekly, monthly and ad hoc payment process, and managing the cashflow between Group bank accounts. Ensure accuracy and validity of supplier details on the electronic banking systems
• External And Internal Audit: Ensure a successful and efficient internal and external audit process. Manage the financial year end audit through liaising with external auditors
• Ad hoc: Ensure that all other finance tasks within the Group are adequately addressed by the finance team

• SAICA/SAIPA Articles completed
