POSITION INFO:
Our client, outside of George is looking for a temporary Guesthouse Administrator start in April for a 4 month contract. Must have own transport and willing to drive to Guesthouse and back. (No accommodation provided).
Working Hours: 8am – 3PM Monday to Friday position. Every second weekend from 8AM – 1PM. (One day off in the week after working the 2nd weekend).
Location: 15KM outside of George.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour.
- Welcome guests as they arrive.
- Manage incoming calls.
- Perform reservation requests.
- Respond to all guest questions and requests.
- Manage guest bookings and reservations. (Restaurant reservations for breakfast, lunch & dinner).
- Admin work for the Bookkeeper.
- Keep a tidy and orderly workspace.
- Verify customer information and payment options.
- Determining rooms available.
- Assign rooms and respond to customers with confirmation emails or letters.
- Accept payments.
- Check guests out.
- All admin related tasks.
- Copier - assisting staff & members / guests with printing or scanning of documents. Check toners & warning messages on machine & inform procurement for relevant requirements.
- Basic invoicing/bookkeeping of payments.
- Ability to work on excel.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
- Computer Literate
- Min 1- 2 years exp in Reservation / Reception.
- Previous exposure to a Lodge / Hotel environment is beneficial.
- Guest Liaison
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer programs.
- Must have Driver’s Licence and Own Vehicle
- Must be willing to work every second weekend.
