Requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years high volume/ bulk recruitment experience within the mining industry
  • Minimum 2 years working experience within an agency environment including use of an applicant tracking system
  • Know how to use social media to drive targeted skills to open vacancies and promoting employer branding
  • Heightened sense of urgency
  • Good in person and telephonic etiquette
  • Good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
  • Third language would be an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g., recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
  • Strong time management, follow-through, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, collaboration, presentation, organisation, decision-making and project management/planning skills
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • A desire to share ideas and knowledge
  • Must have the flexibility and ability to travel periodically depending on business needs, with some overnight stay required
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Literacy (MS Word and MS Excel)

Duties:

  • Prepare targeted job adverts on appropriate job portals, print media and effective screening of responses
  • Screen, select, qualify, interview candidates to produce a shortlist and format CVs in line with Company’s best practice
  • Ensuring all verifications are completed on successful candidates - well prior to appointment
  • Building and maintaining relationships with target candidates and stakeholders
  • Monitor, maintain contact with and report on candidate’s progress throughout the application and placement up to 3 months of employment
  • Identify and develop specific recruiting initiatives to build an ongoing, ready pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Regularly maintaining and ensure accurate upkeep of the applicant tracking system
  • Develop and maintain a “Recruiting Toolbox” of ideas, flyers, pamphlets, and methods that can be used to meet recruiting need and area/ location
  • Proactively improve recruiting processes by identifying
  • opportunities that need refinement
  • Achieve weekly and monthly targets
  • Achieve monthly financial targets
