HR Administrator

SUMMARY:
Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

-Responsible for managing the whole employee transportation cycle including creating a daily report on all transportation activities, reviewing the monthly transportation invoices, issuing the payment request, and following up on the payment of the service.
- Receive and register leave and overtime requests on the HR system
- Hand over and receive back access control cards for new employees and terminated employees
- Register new employees and retire terminated employees in
fingerprint/access system
- Generate daily attendance reports from fingerprint/access control systems for production employees, on a weekly basis for the other departments and complete the missing data with physical records from the Security Officer.
- Monitor and follow-up on daily employees’ attendance and communicate the findings to the department managers
- Receives and investigates penalty requests, review it with HR & Admin Manager, register approved penalties on database and forward it to Payroll Specialist to apply
- Responsible for the attendance tracking (attendance, overtime etc.) of outsourcing personnel, comparing internal time data with the time data of the external company, reviewing the invoices on a monthly basis and issuing the payments
- Responsible for full recruitment process of internal blue-collar workers (packers, cleaners, warehouse inspectors etc.) and coordinating all the technical induction for new hires
- Support HR & Admin Manager in resignation / withdrawal process and make sure that exit checklist is completed for all employees, handover final checklist to HR Administrator after completing all necessary checks.

AMET HR Management

- Sit with the blue-collar workers and conduct exit interviews, fill in the exit interview form, insert a summary of the interview to the data collection sheet, and handover exit interview form to HR Administrator to archive it in the employee file.
- Register all monthly personnel key figures in eMis
- Any other tasks related to HR & Admin functions upon direct manager recommendations
- Built up a relation of trust with employees

POSITION INFO:
- 0-6 months  of proven work experience in personnel administration within an manufacturing company and/or Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Administration, or Law
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in organizing and prioritizing a busy workload
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Experience in using an HR database or system
- Excellent local language and good business English language skills
