JOB DESCRIPTION:

A secure company is looking for an HR generalist to join there team.

 

Industry experience is critical as always and the person must have at least 2-3year Generalist experience and more than 5years min working experience in HR.

The Key Functional Responsibilities:

  • The Key Functional Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist includes but is not limited to: Full Training Management & Certifications
  • Identify and assesses current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths and consultation with the line managers 
  • Execute the training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations to up skill our teams 
  • Resolve specific problem areas in skills gaps and tailor training programs as necessary 
  • Certification compliance tracking for the Inland DC’S to ensure staff is certified. Induction & Promotion Management
  • Manage job specific Induction Programs for all new starts or promotions. 
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness and report accordingly
  • On the Job Assessment and sign off by the line manager and HR Executive 
  • Ongoing training of existing staff- Promotions and Lateral movements
  • Overseeing DC probation process for all new staff. Payroll Queries Management 
  • Ensure deadlines are met for all payroll requirements
  • Auditing of monthly DC payroll reports and hours submitted
  • Provide assistance in relation to pay queries, escalating where necessary to payroll and manage and escalate deadlines. Recruitment
  • Assisting the process flow in relation to recruitment as to speed up the process 
  • Inducting staff accordingly and ensure they understand benefits
  • Assisting in adhoc interview processes to ensure process are followed. Legislative and DC Audits
  • Assisting with all legislative audit requirements for the DC
  • Ensuring all information is correct for annual client audits
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements as well as the correct acts of determination in the DC EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Employee Relations
  • Guiding Managers in terms of ethical procedure and good employee relations  
  • Ensuring consistency in staff discipline overall. 
  • Ensuring that all IR matters are recorded and documents saved accordingly. 
  • General Doing general administration and updating of HR reports.  Manage full function of Employment Equity reporting and submission
  • Provide basic support and guidance in relation to HR practices to employees, supervisors and management. 
  • Act as point of contact between the DC’s and the HR office for follow up and tracking purposes 
  • Facilitate wellness days, Medical Aid and Provident fund updates, and other yearly meetings. NOTE: 
  • The above list is not exhaustive and you shall be obliged to perform subsidiary tasks in addition to the primary tasks for which you are employed.

  • The ability to work and leady dynamically, be result and deadline driven with good problem solving skills. Minimum requirements: 
  •  Grade 12 is compulsory with Relevant Tertiary Degree, Honours Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology or similar.  
  • 5 Years HR Generalist Experience and 2 Years Employee Relations / IR Experience 
  • Proven CCMA / Bargaining Council Record Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills and GP skills Applications are invited from suitably qualified employees, who are passionate, self- motivated, responsible and committed to maintaining high standards and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
