SUMMARY:
Exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist with strong ER experience to join an organisation in the gambling/entertainment sector

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance Outputs

 

Recruitment and selection

  • Develop job descriptions for new positions to be recruited for and maintain all existing job descriptions.
  • Evaluate and implement a grading system and benchmark the salary.
  • Advertise position on relevant recruitment platform.
  • Shortlist candidates and present to relevant manager.
  • Arrange interviews and assist with interview process.
  • Arrange for testing of candidates for selection.
  • Send job offer and contract to selected candidates.

Remuneration and payroll management

  • Prepare and administer monthly payroll, including leave.
  • Administer employee benefits such as pension fund.
  • Prepare EMP501s and submit to SARS

Performance management, reward and recognition

  • Coordinate and drive the annual performance management process, including the development and maintenance of key performance indicators.
  • Train all managers and employees in the value of the performance management process as well as their roles and responsibilities in this process.

Training and development

  • Conduct a training needs analysis to identify gaps.
  • Develop and monitor implementation of personal development plans for employees.
  • Coordinate training initiatives for employees.
  • Monitor the impact of training interventions.
  • Maintain training records.

Transformation management

  • Manage BEE Scorecard
  • Reporting and Compliance

Employee Relations Management

  • Manage the disciplinary process as well as a disciplinary code with recommended sanctions.
  • Manage the grievance process
  • CCMA experience (Arbitration).
  • Union Negotiations

BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Possess an attention to detail and have an ability to work accurately and independently;
  • Possess a positive attitude to change with the ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven, high-pressured environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

  • Possess Matric Certificate
  • HR Degree
  • 3-5 years proven track record as a HRBP
  • 3-5 years’ experience Essential
  • VIP/SAGE (advantageous)
  • Hospitality Experience Advantageous
