SUMMARY:
HR Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Induction of new staff • Recruitment, selection and interviewing of new staff • Update Organogram and organogram boards monthly • Analysis of monthly time management of staff • Administer and maintain the time management and access control system • Prepare, process, submit and check final payroll monthly • Do all statutory and third-party returns related to payroll monthly • Leave administration including manual and ESS transactions • Compiling and maintaining Job descriptions • Develop, Implement and Maintain HR Policies and Procedures as and when necessary • Full responsibility for staff training with external service providers • Assist and guide managers with internal training • Assist and guide managers through performance management processes • Assist and guide managers through disciplinary processes • Represent the company as complainant in relevant disciplinaries • Coach, mentor and develop managers and staff • Ensure compliance and reporting is done in line with the Employment Equity Act • Ensure compliance with all relevant Labour Legislation • Advise, implement and maintain BEE strategy, monitoring and reporting • Coordinate and implement a donations strategy in line with BEE requirements • Ensure compliance and reporting is done in line with the Skills Development Act • Support and participate in company compliance with the Health and Safety Act • Managing staff loans with external service providers • Liaise between the Company and Unions • Annual wage negotiations • Resolution of staff issues including disciplinary and grievance procedures • Handling of labour issues up to CCMA level • Responsible for staff wellness and health management programs • Quarterly HR Board Reports • Quarterly Transformation Report • Annual Sustainability Report • Prepare and submit annual HR budget • Liaise with provident fund and ensure terminations are uploaded timeously • Liaise with SETA, training providers, learners to ensure successful completion of learnerships • Complete exiting processes with staff including exit interviews • General HR day-to-day issues

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE • A Minimum of 5 -10 years experience in Human Resources • A Minimum of a Matric Certificate with a Human Resources qualification a bonus • A solid understanding of SA Labour law and general employment legislation • A Minimum of 2 years’ experience dealing with SETA’s (Merseta advantageous) • A Minimum of 2 years’ experience on Sage VIP Payroll and ESS systems at administrator level • Ability to administrate and run the Jarrison Time Access Control System • Annual Skills WSP and ATR compilation and submission • Annual Employment Equity Report compilation and submission • Conflict Management • CCMA knowledge and experience • A high level of computer literacy, particularly all Microsoft Office packages • Strong administration and organizational skills • Report writing abilit
