HR Practitioner-R35k pm CTC - NSubs, CT - EE females- Perm

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This market leader in the technology sector urgently needs a strong HR professional to join their offices in the northern suburbs.
The purpose of the position is to ensure effective human resources coordination, administration, and
support to the Company through delivering on a broad spectrum within the human resources field.
Compliance
• Ensure completion of the annual Employment Equity online reporting;
• Ensure submission of the annual mandatory and discretionary grant application as per
MerSETA’s requirements;
• Ensure that the Company’s statistics is reported to StatsSA on a quarterly basis;
• Ensure the submission of the annual return of earnings to the Department of Labour;
• Ensure that mid and year-end payroll tax is submitted to SARS.
Training, Development and Employment Equity
• Ensuring adherence to the Company’s Employment Equity Plan and update plan as and when
required;
• Facilitate the Training and Employment Equity Committee (TEEC) meetings and ensure that
actions are taken by the responsible parties;
• Ensure that the approved MerSETA programmes are successfully implemented in order to
secure funding;
• Providing assistance on the annual BEE verification process by supplying the required HR
information;
• Identify training needs for employees together with the responsible manager
Policies, Procedures and Employee Relations
• Advise and educate managers and employees on HR policies and procedures;
• Draft offer and contract of employment and provide motivation on employee transfers,
secondments, and promotions;
• Draft and/or update Company policies and procedures;
• Ensure that Company policies are adhered to and guide management on consistent application
thereof;
• Support the Company in disciplinary matters; i.e., warnings, poor performance, incapacity,
termination agreements;
• Coordinates and attend all disciplinary hearings and prepare applicable documentation;
• Assist in the gathering of evidence and case information for CCMA matters as well as
representation at CCMA;
• Provide guidance and advice for managing grievances;
• Ensure that agreements around restructuring or transfer of employment contracts are
correctly recorded and implemented (if required);
Recruitment, Selection and Induction
• Compile or amend job post and/or descriptions when new position is required within the
Company through consulting with the applicable manager;
• Liaise and negotiate with external recruitment agencies as and when required;
• Manage and facilitate the entire recruitment and selection process i.e., advertising of vacancies,
screening of CV’s, scheduling and conducting interviews, completing reference checks and
coordinate any assessments;
• Conduct employee induction to foster a positive attitude towards Company goals;
Performance Management and Succession Planning
• Implement and monitor performance management processes;
• Organize employee performance reviews
• Communicate and educate stakeholders regarding the systems and processes;
• Update and/or amend key performance areas and/or indicators as and when required;
• Effective participation and management of the talent review process and career development;
• Support managers in managing the poor performance processes in accordance with the policy
and procedures;
Payroll (SAGE VIP and ESS)
• Attend to all payroll related queries;
• Prepare and correctly process salary information on the system;
• Reconciliation and review of all payroll information;
• General payroll administration;
• Liaising with pension fund and medical aid administrators and/or consultants on changes that
affect the payroll;
• Understand leave requirements and process all leave on the Employee Self Service (ESS)
portal;
HR Administration
• Liaise with various stakeholders from an HR perspective and to be main point of contact for
any HR related enquiries;
• Ensure that employees are updated on any Company or HR related communication;
• Support employee’s overall wellbeing through coordinating wellness days and programmes;
• Support various Departments with HR related information for 3rd parties;
• Update HR templates as and when required;
• Scrutinize and approve related consultant invoices of work completed;
• Manage the administration around cellphones and fuel cards;
• Keep Company organogram updated;
• Coordinate all administration surrounding new entrants, exits/terminations, contract
conversions, relocations, transfers, secondments, etc.
• Liaise with trade unions as and when required;

Key Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Human Resource Field
• Working knowledge of related legislation – e.g., SARS, UIF, BCEA, OHSA, EEA, SDA COVID19 regulations, etc.
• Proficient in SAGE VIP Payroll
• Working knowledge of payroll tax
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledge of Funds e.g., Medical Aid, Pension Fund, etc
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving
• Effective time management, planning and organisation skills
• Building relationships and networking skills
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Change Adaptability
• Continuous improvement of knowledge and skills to remain relevant and meet the industry
needs.
• Professional registration with the SABPP (Advantageous)
• Experience within the Utility Industry (Advantageous)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety (Advantageous)
• Knowledge on SharePoint functionality (Advantageous)
• Knowledge of organisational design and development (advantageous)

Candidates must reside in the Northern Suburbs or surrounding areas and must have avalid code 08 license & own car.
