SUMMARY:
We are currently on the market for a Human Resources Practitioner for one of our clients in the Gaming sector. The role is office based in Johannesburg and reports directly into the Human Resources Business Partner.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Role:

The role focuses on building and maintaining an effective recruitment function and interacting across all interfaces of HR within the business. The HR structure requires a generalist HR specialist with a strong background in recruitment. The incumbent will be required to carry out both generalist HR initiatives and take overall responsibility for the management of the recruitment function.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Relationship Management
  • Drive the creation of joint alliances where required
  • Initiate and drive implementation of HR initiatives, thought leadership and client engagement
  • Facilitate sharing of best practice
  • When required, responsible for driving the implementation of a more cost effective, dedicated HR resource functionality
  • Facilitate and drive internal and external messaging that is consistent with the corporate image
  • Drive employee engagement campaigns required to reinforce culture and values
Stakeholder Management 
  • Identification of and engagement with key stakeholders and/or platforms to partner with and to source high calibre candidates
  • Maximise social media opportunities to showcase the company as an employer of choice
Client Management
  • Create a positive customer experience across all touch points in the company's service offering
  • Manage reputational risk through appropriate Fit and Proper mitigation strategies
HR Management
  • Manage the entire recruitment function and establish it as a Best Practice operation
  • Facilitate employee engagement campaigns
  • Compile reports and trends on HR internal practices and operations to inform future HR interventions

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in Human Resources with at least 4 years of recruitment experience
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Practices
  • Knowledge of HR processes
  • Knowledge of Recruitment processes and direct sourcing

  • Proven ability to manage complex issues where senior stakeholders may not agree
  • Ability to deliver change through influencing rather than through positional power

Educational Qualifications:

NQF Level 7: Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant qualification
