Minimum requirements:

  • Matric
  • 5+ years’ experience within the same or similar role
  • Tertiary education within HR and/or Payroll will be beneficial
  • Experience with monthly, weekly, and bi-weekly payroll +- 250 people
  • Valid code B driver’s license and own transport
  • Working hours: Monday - Saturday 07:00 – 17:00
  • Good understanding of the labour laws
  • Excellent communication and people skills

 

Duties will be, but are not limited to:

  • Forming and maintaining employee records
  • Monthly, weekly, and bi-weekly payroll of +- 250 people
  • Contact person for all farms
  • General administration duties
  • Updating databases internally, such as sick and maternity leave
  • Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e., employment contracts and recruitment guides
  • Reviewing and renewing company policies and legal compliance
  • Communicating with external partners
  • Reporting regularly on HR metrics, such as company turnover
  • Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR-related queries
  • Assisting with payroll by providing the department with relevant employee information, i.e., holiday and sick days taken
  • Helping with various arrangements internally, from travel to processing expenses
