POSITION INFO:
Your duties and responsibilities as a HR Professional are recorded as follows: -
1. Law:
• Assist the internal Legal Department with various tasks as required.
• Assist those Departments located internationally, such as Zimbabwe, with their HR / Labour related tasks; and
• Liaise with external attorneys, locally and abroad, as required and directed by Management.
2. Policies and Contracts:
• Design and implement company HR policies that promote a legally compliant workplace.
• Create a policy register with approvals from Management.
• Review and revise the HR policies on an ongoing basis to reflect changing economic trends, legislation, and organizational goals.
• Organize and deliver effective reports to Management regarding HR-related issues, policies and practices.
• Drafting of contracts of employment (permanent and fixed term) and consultancy contracts as required; and
• Drafting of notices and letters as required.
3. HR Department:
• Address all employees’ requests and grievances in a proficient and timely manner.
• Management of employees’ leave records and balances on an ongoing basis; and
• Ensure the time tracking system is utilised by all staff as required. Download reports where requested.
4. Management of Recruitment process:
• Manage the recruitment process from start to end when new employees are required to be appointed by the organisation (which includes writing of job descriptions for recruitment, carrying out initial screening interviews, and putting forward suitable candidates for Management’s consideration); and
• Ensure pre-employment phase (polygraph and background checks) is conducted internally prior to hire.
Administration for the bargaining Council and Provident Fund. I.e. create monthly reports, do submissions and keep on track with all payments and allocations for Provident Fund and Bargaining Council
5. HR Administration:
• Ensure that all employee files and contracts of employment are in place and kept up to date.

• Discuss employees’ career development paths with line managers.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned to you, such as maintaining employee records, or updating of various databases; and
• Compile monthly HR Management report for Management’s review.
6. Disciplinary and CCMA (Labour relations):
• Manage all internal disciplinary action taken against employees for breaches of the Group’s disciplinary codes of conduct.
• Appear and represent the Group at all CCMA matters, and prepare all case files with the Legal Department as required; and
• Managing employee relations, such as mediating and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive working environment between the Group and employees, communities, bargaining councils and / or Unions.
7. Training and Development:
• Assess employee performance (together with departmental heads) based on whether each employee is accomplishing the objectives set for them and provide the employee with feedback based on their performance.
• Consult with employees as required.
• Improve employee performance through targeting and training specific skills as and when required; and
• Keep record and maintain training and orientation plans with budgets.
8. Security Division:
• Keep abreast with the latest PSIRA legislation and requirements.
• Oversee and manage all security HR administration; and
• Amicably mediate and negotiate with security personnel in respect of all Group related queries and grievances.
9. IOD (Injury on duty claims):
• Ensure all relevant companies are registered with COIDA and letter of good standing is in place; and
• Keep record of all IOD claims.
10. Employment Equity (EE) and Labour Stats:
• Manage the EE structure for all relevant companies within the Group.
• Ensure the Group adheres to the equity requirements act.
• Create and implement equity plan.
• Ensure equity meetings are conducted and minute; and
• Complete yearly EE on DOL website; and
• Complete and submit quarterly employment labour stats to DOL on behalf of each company within the Group that employs personnel.
The above duties will be performed by the Employee for the Company, and, as directed by the Company for all relevant companies within the Group and may be amended and updated by Management from time to time
