POSITION INFO:

Planet Fitness is looking for a HVAC Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with Planet Fitness's standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Perform medium to high complex service tasks such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, retrofits, and repair independently.
• Identify technical problems and conduct analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofits, end of life service, etc.).
• Coordinate, prepare, and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet quality standards for service activities.
• Prepare standard lists to facilitate ease of work.
• Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the authorized representative. Report work done in a timely manner and follow up when needed.
• Create standards or job durations.
• Proactively identify potential equipment failures and take corrective actions. Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, including explaining technical information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Keep up to date with the latest HVAC technology and industry trends.

Requirements:

• High school diploma . Technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including their components and functions.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Need to have your own vehicle.
