SUMMARY:
Our Client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team on a half-day basis. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping and extensive proficiency in Zoho Accounting. The role requires a high level of accuracy, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.

POSITION INFO:
JOB TITLE: Half-Day Bookkeeper
AREA: Roodepoort, Johannesburg

Salary / CTC: R 10 000 – R 12 000 (depending on current earnings, qualifications and experience)
Report to: Director
Type: Permanent (Half Day)

Key Responsibilities:

Full bookkeeping function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims with precision.
Bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
VAT calculations and submissions.
Preparation of financial reports as required.
Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
Liaising with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions when necessary.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in Zoho Accounting.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Zoho Accounting (non-negotiable).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and tax regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
Ability to work efficiently within a half-day schedule.
