Half Day Receptionist/ Administrator

Our client's busy veterinary clinic is in search of a warm and efficient Receptionist/Admin Assistant to be the welcoming face of their practice. POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction: Welcome and greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and at ease.
• Appointment Management: Answer landline and mobile calls, schedule consultations for vets and vet nurses, and take accurate messages when needed.
• Payment Processing: Handle payments via credit card, Zapper, and cash, and complete end-of-shift cashing up.
• Retail & Product Assistance: Assist clients with food sales and over-the-counter products (full training provided).
• Stock Control: Restock shelves and notify admin of items that need ordering.
• Administrative Support:
  
  • Assist clients with pet insurance claim forms and collect samples for external labs.
  • Follow up on insurance claims and lab results as needed.
  • Register pet microchip numbers.
  • Validate discount vouchers and promotional puppy/kitten packs.
  • Manage dispensed medication handovers (excluding scheduled medication handling).
  • Send timely vaccination reminders to pet owners.
  • Receive and check supplier deliveries.
  • Keep clients informed about their pet’s status if hospitalized.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming reception area.
  • Assist with additional duties as requested by management.
