SUMMARY:
A well established firm within the FMCG / Retail industry is looking for a Health, Safety & Environment Administrator.  This is for their branch in Bloemfontein.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety / Safety Management
  • Min 2+ years' HSE Administration experience
  • SAP 
  • Valid drivers license with own transport 
  • HSE Administration
  • Receive walk in visitors and process requests
  • Upload contractor safety file evidence on to Worktrainer online repositories
  • Coordinate visitor arrivals with department hosts
  • Book facilities for induction and permit to work purposes
  • Print induction material and access cards
  • Issue and receive access cards
  • Keep an up-to-date repository of valid permits
  • Administration
  • Coordinate audit booking and calendar of the HSE Officer
  • Contractor Management
  • Understand the legal principles under which the permit to work process is defined and conduct contractor audits
  • Understand and apply the legal principle pertaining to the OHS scope of authority and issue a permit to work which is limited to the Scope of authority
  • Draw up and maintain an audit schedule and audit program for contractor audits
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of contractors and service providers that have undergone the audit process and are in possession of a valid permit to work
  • Carry out contractor and visitor induction, conduct contractor audits and issue a permit to work for the supply chain units
  • Compile statistical analytics, define KPI objectives and preset to management milestones achieved
  • Provide HSE technical support 
  • Ensuring documented information is controlled and safeguarded in line with POPI Act
  • Enforce compliance 
  • Emergency Coordination
  • Review existing emergency contingency measures against relevant legislation
  • Arrange and coordinate emergency drills
  • Tally roll-call attendance and give feedback to management
  • Risk Analysis
  • Ensure that risk assessments are communicated to the workforce by operational supervision
  • Keep records of risk assessment training
  • Incident Investigation
  • Report all incidents to the Divisional Health and Safety Officer
  • Control the scene of an accident and gather evidence
  • Form part of the Incident investigation team
