This prestigious School is looking for a dedicated Housemother to their team and provide both pastoral care and practical management for their vibrant boarding house.
The Ideal Candidate: This is a busy and fulfilling role for someone who enjoys working with young people, managing a team, and being organized in a bustling environment. The successful candidate will live in a one-bedroom flat within the Boarding House (note: no pets allowed). This position would suit a single and more mature person. Must have a driver's license with a PDP.

Role Overview: The Housemother’s role is twofold:
- Pastoral Care: Offering maternal care and guidance to the boys in the boarding house, ensuring their well-being.
- Housekeeping Management: Supervising and overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping operations of the house.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transport & Coordination: Manage lifts to and from the airport and other ad hoc transport needs. (PDP required)
- Medical Liaison: Coordinate medical appointments in collaboration with the Nursing Sisters and House Director.
- Maintenance Supervision: Work proactively with the House Director to ensure maintenance issues are addressed.
- House Parent Committee: Play an active role on the committee, contributing to house-related decisions.
- Event Organization: Set up and attend all house functions.
- Catering Coordination: Liaise daily with the Outsourced Catering Manager on dietary requirements of boarders.
- Dormitory Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of dormitory staff.
- Sick Bay Management: Care for and manage boarders when they are unwell.
- Laundry Management: Ensure laundry is checked and handle laundry charges.
- Hygiene & Medication: Promote hygiene standards and oversee the distribution of medication.
- Regular Meetings: Attend food committee meetings to discuss and improve the quality of catering.
Qualities & Skills Needed:
- A dedicated individual who enjoys engaging with boys, staff, and parents.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literate.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
- High attention to detail, with initiative and a proactive approach.
- Physically fit and energetic.
