Description:

The Successful candidate will be based at the global manufacturing site in Boksburg and will report to the People Manager. The management of HR administration is a key function of the role. The People Specialist will be responsible for the recruitment and selection; interviewing and onboarding of new employees. They will plan and coordinate training according to the training needs of the manufacturing facility. They will be required to build sound relationships with managers, employees and service providers, through demonstrating people skills, thoughtfulness and delivering a service that has a positive impact on the entire business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Liaise with recruitment agencies to source and screen CV’s for operational vacancies;
  • Payroll: Liaise with the payroll department to ensure all payroll documentation is submitted timeously; Consolidate and submit monthly payroll reports timeously to the payroll department and labour broker;
  • Onboarding: Plan, coordinate and execute the onboarding of new employees;
  • HR Events: Assist in the planning and execution of all events, e.g. wellness week, company functions, team engagement sessions, etc.
  • IR/ER: Assist managers with drafting and issuing of disciplinary warnings and prepare enquiry packs;
  • Training: Updating training matrix and training needs for all departments; Capturing of
  • all training on the training report for WSP/ATR submissions; Plan and coordinate training as per yearly training needs;
  • Employee Terminations: Assist with the effective termination of all employees who leave the business.
  • EHS: Collaborate with EHS Officer to ensure all employees adhere to the EHS standards;

  • An ability to solve problems and, integrity and honesty are non-negoatioble attributes for this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Psychology from a leading university;
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a HR Generalist role within an FMCG environment.
