JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, with an extensive portfolio of Digital Infrastructure products including storage, networking, security, 5G, terminal & related domains, provides HPE® servers, storage and associated technical services globally, is an industry leader in Digital Solutions and seeks to permanently employ a South African, Business Development/Channel Sales Management expert to oversee and manage their sub-Saharan African/Africa region. (Will be based in Gauteng/JHB)

This is a call to all available and suitable New Business Development Experts with strong Channel Sales Management experience in the JHB/Gauteng region and with a referrable track record of Sales and NBD in the SA ICT Industry, who boasts long standing business relationships within one of more of the following sectors: Government (SOEs), Finance, Healthcare, Education, Transportation, Manufacturing, Utilities, Energy, Internet, Building ….

 

Job Expectations:

  • Achieve Channel Sales Order revenue Target and Gross profit target
  • Develop the Channel Sales plan, per segment ,against agreed sales target
  • Have in-depth knowledge of business products and value propositions
  • Implement Programmed strategy per segment (sourcing, onboarding, maintaining and managing new clients)
  • Manage/provide detailed Account Plan per client. Draft/review client opportunity proposals
  • Identify and map business strengths, customer needs with clients based on accounts
  • Record billings, sales, revenue, invoices  
  • Negotiate with stakeholders with/on behalf of clients following local and international industry trends
  • Build, Manage & retain long-term relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify new business opportunities (new partners, new industries, new markets, growth areas, end user customers, products and services)
  • Increase the size and value of client/customer base.
  • Arrange business meetings with current and new clients
  • Promote products/services, address/predict client objectives for portfolio’s
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Report on successes and areas in need of improvements
  • Research & Identify business opportunities, viable income streams for clients and customers

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelors Degree
  • 6-8 years Channel sales management experience (ICT industry/Cisco/HP/distributors)
  • Strong experience with design and implementation of channel-based business development strategy in the ICT industry, Enterprise, Corporate and government customer domain
  • Previous experience as a Channel Sales Manager within established and broad network in South African business environment
  • Channel Sales principles & policies knowledge
  • Proven sales growth track record (development and support of a channel-based growth strategy
  • High-level negotiation skills, Fluent in English, Strong customer service skills
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, target driven, goal orientated, competitive, works well under pressure, ability to work overtime, team player, good references.
