SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced person who has experience trading in the stainless steel (pipes, fittings, flanges, and valves industry).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / equivalent

 Experience and Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ recent working experience in the Stainless-steel industry (Pipes, Fittings, Flanges and Valves)
  • Computer literate: MS Office Suite and Syspro would be an advantage
  • Reside in or around Germiston area
  • Reliable transport
  • Of sober habits
  • A stable work record and have contactable references
  • Must have good communication skills, people relation skills and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal communication (internal)
  • Great team player with the ability to work independently

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying incoming enquiries via telephone, email, or fax.
  • Communicating to relevant personnel regarding credit application should the client be a first-time buyer and assist with account queries.
  • Maintaining a daybook of all incoming enquiries
  • Submitting quotations.
  • Receiving of customer Orders and reviewing of orders against quotation.
  • Assisting COD customers.
  • Processing of all acceptable orders into the Syspro system.
  • Resolving of any variances between order and quotation. Daily expediting of Back Orders.
  • Generating and processing of buy-out orders to approved suppliers including work-in-progress orders and the expediting thereof.
  • Liaison with the Managing Director, Sales Managers on technical issues.
  • Generating Credit Notes
  • Close and grow sales with existing and potential clients.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Expand market awareness of our product/ services and industry communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively.
  • Work with production team to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Frequent communication to customer and follow up on orders.
  • Ensure quotes are complete and sent to customers within the stipulated turn-around times.
  • Offer technical support and advice to customers.
  • Cold call for new business and service exiting customers.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with customers and ensure retention of existing customers.
  • Communicate any changes to customer requirements with OPCO head, Sales Management, Productions management.
  • Refer customer complaints to Quality Department.
  • Communicate any specific delivery requirements to Dispatch team on time.
  • Understand and Adhere to all company policies, procedures, business ethics codes and other company requirements.
