Job Summary:

The IT Assistant will support the IT department in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. They will assist in troubleshooting issues, provide technical support to staff, and help with various IT tasks and projects. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about IT systems, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be eager to learn and grow in the IT field.

Requirements:

• A minimum of two years of IT support experience
• A Related Qualification
• Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity
• Communication and reporting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Technical knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide first-level support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues. Resolve issues or escalate them as needed.
• Hardware Maintenance: Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
• Software Installation: Install, configure, and update software applications on company computers and devices.
• Network Support: Help maintain and troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity, VPNs, and Wi-Fi access.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and other IT activities. Update IT documentation as needed.
• Asset Management: Assist in inventory management of IT assets, including tracking hardware and software licenses.
• User Training: Provide basic training to employees on IT systems and software applications as required.
• Security: Assist in ensuring the security of IT systems, including managing user accounts, passwords, and access rights.
