SUMMARY:
Our client in the Motor sector seeks to employ the services of an IT Desktop Support Technician.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

1. SERVER ADMINISTRATOR IT ADMIN FUNCTIONS
ï· General IT Administration
ï· Keep records of all work-related matter
ï· Filing of all relevant records
ï· Keep cost within the allocated budget
ï· Administer and maintain an IT fault reporting system
ï· General IT and Desktop Support (Technical)
ï· Network Support
ï· IP CCTV System Support
ï· Printer support
ï· General PABX Support
ï· New set-up and move of Users workstations
ï· Hardware Inspections
ï· IT Asset list maintenance
ï· Back ups
ï· Anti-Virus
ï· Disk space management
ï· Email/webhosting
ï· All IT admin related to stocktake
ï· Troubleshooting with VOIP Phones
ï· Responding to desktop support queries
ï· Report on all notable incidents and communications
ï· Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

ï· Grade 12 Certificate with subjects Mathematics & Computer Science
ï· Advanced knowledge of Windows (All OS versions) & MS Office (Home/Business/365)
ï· 2+ years’ experience in IT systems support including the following:

ï Configuration, setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer systems (hardware and software)
ï TCP/IP networking
ï LAN Support
ï TCP/IP networking
ï Basic server support (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
ï VoIP Technology
ï Wireless network

ï· Code B (or higher) Valid Driver’s licence
ï· Own transport essential
