SUMMARY:
Our client in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, a large and reputable I.T. Sector Service Provider, is looking to employ a suitable I.T. Engineer to start soonest.

POSITION INFO:
The position:

We require a full-time on-site IT engineer with their transport.
You will be required to provide remote and onsite support to customers, therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
You will be expected to manage, maintain and prioritise your workload, good time management skills are crucial.
A minimum of 10 years experience is required.

The IT Engineer performs all aspects of IT Support, amongst others:

Training and support of staff on IT Systems
Wireless networking
Windows Server (2016,2019, and 2022) installations and configurations, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
Hyper-V Host and Guest installation, configuration, maintenance, and migrations.
Proficient in Hyper-V Virtualization Technology.
Experience with Azure Cloud Platform.
Scripting and Automation Skills.
Knowledge of Acronis Data Backup and Recovery.
Microsoft Windows (10,11).
Microsoft Office 2016,2019,2021 and Office 365.
Mikrotik knowledge.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Windows Server 2016,2019 and 2022.
Networking, Switches, and Router configuration
Own reliable transport.

Strong interpersonal skills
Hardworking and self-motivated
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Willing to work over-time when required to
Good communication skills
Excellent organizing skills with attention to detail
Must be able to work quickly and well under pressure
Willing to take on extra responsibilities

Salary bracket

Depends on qualifications and experience (R35k to 40k)

Education

N+ (CompTIA) A+ (CompTIA), Microsoft certification
