Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

POSITION INFO:
Job Overview:

We are looking for motivated graduates to join our IT Support Desk as part of a structured graduate program. This role will provide hands-on experience in IT support, system monitoring, and troubleshooting across remote sites and cloud applications. If you have a passion for technology and problem-solving, this is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in IT.
Key Responsibilities:

General IT Support & Monitoring

Provide 24/7 IT Helpdesk Support (Shift Work).
Monitor remote/cloud connectivity and on-site IT systems.
Track PCs, network devices, and system health using Zabbix (Training Provided).
Assist in resolving IT-related incidents and escalating complex issues.
Strong Windows Administration & Troubleshooting (User Management, Permissions).

Basic knowledge of Linux & Networking (VPN, Routers, LAN/WAN, Firewalls).
Experience with Zabbix or other network monitoring tools.
Basic SQL (Push/Pull data from the database, queries for reports).
Printer configuration & troubleshooting (Network Printers, Drivers).
Understanding of cloud-based IT systems (Azure AD, Google Workspace, Office 365).

Soft Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve IT issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to assist users with technical problems.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
Attention to detail when compiling reports and monitoring systems.
Team player mindset, able to collaborate with on-site technicians and remote users.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

Interest in Programming.
Experience with PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation.
Familiarity with API integrations.
Experience handling Microsoft Power BI for reporting.
